How to Use Pronouncer

1. Type a word or short phrase

Enter the pronunciation you want to hear. For a proper name or specialist term, check spelling first.

2. Choose the target language

Select a language and, when multiple browser voices are available, choose the voice that best matches the accent you want to practise.

3. Press Pronounce

Pronouncer plays the available browser speech voice and may also show dictionary audio or pronunciation data when supported.

4. Slow down and repeat

Use playback speed controls where available. Listen for syllable timing, stress and unfamiliar consonants or vowels.

5. Record yourself

The Compare panel lets you record and play back your own voice. Use it for self-comparison by ear and waveform; the app does not fabricate an accuracy percentage.
